Launching a startup was something I always imagined for the future.
In my plans, SWAPR – Love It Again was supposed to come to life in 2030.
But life, as it often does, had other plans for me.
I officially created SWAPR in February 2025, and by July of the same year, the dream I thought I’d build “one day” became reality.
✨ The Spark: A New Year’s Promise
It all started as a simple New Year’s resolution.
In February 2025, I made a promise to myself:
“This is the year I’ll finally start to plan my own sustainable fashion startup.”
I began researching obsessively. After work, every night, I’d sit at my kitchen table with my laptop, a plate of pasta, and a notebook filled with ideas.
I watched YouTube videos, followed startup founders, read articles about building a fashion brand, and learned everything I could about sustainable and circular fashion.
The feeling was magical — adrenaline and clarity combined. For the first time in a long time, everything made sense.
💥 The Plot Twist I Didn’t See Coming
Then, everything changed in a single afternoon.
I was at work, full of hope. I was about to finally sign my permanent contract — a moment that meant stability, security, and a clear path forward in my career.
My boss called me into her office. She asked me how I was doing, and I answered honestly: things were going well. My team was amazing, and I was proud of the work I’d done.
Then came the blow.
She told me she no longer needed my role.
Instead of confirming my position, she decided to hire someone else for a completely different role that didn’t even make sense for the team.
I sat there in silence, listening to her excuses. It felt like the world froze.
In one conversation, everything I thought was stable disappeared.
In less than a month, I would turn 30 — and be jobless.
🔥 Turning Pain Into Purpose
That night, I went home as usual.
I cooked dinner. I opened my laptop. And instead of collapsing, something inside me clicked.
I didn’t want revenge against my boss.
I wanted to prove to myself — and to everyone who never picked me, who never believed in me — that I was capable of something extraordinary.
I made a decision.
I wouldn’t wait until 2030 to build my dream.
I would build it now.
“Ready is not a feeling. It’s a decision.”
🚀 Building SWAPR — Love It Again
From that day on, I approached the idea with a completely different energy.
I wasn’t just dreaming anymore. I was building.
• I designed the full business structure of SWAPR in less than three months.
• I mapped out five expansion phases to grow from a single second-hand clothing brand into an international circular fashion platform.
• I learned everything from scratch — from branding and e-commerce strategy to dropshipping logistics and sustainable sourcing.
• And in July 2025, SWAPR officially launched.
SWAPR is more than a store. It’s a statement:
